The role of system of SI is defined by a number of its properties which make this system especially convenient:
1. SI is universal and applicable in all areas of physics and technology as has no relation to properties of concrete material.
2. These units can be used with sufficient degree of accuracy.
3. The system of SI is absolute.
4. The system of SI is accepted on the international scale and is introduced in all countries in a legal order.
The international system is universal. It covers all areas of the physical phenomena, all branches of technology and national economy. The international system of units includes wide-spread private systems as metric system of measures and system of practical electric and magnetic units in technology (ampere, volt, weber, etc.). Only the system which adopted these units can claim to be called universal and international.
Units of the International system are rather convenient in most cases by their size, and the most important of them have their own names, convenient in practice.
Creation of the International system answers the modern level of metrology. Here is the balanced choice of the main units, and their numerals and the sizes in particular; coherence (coherence) of derivative units; the rationalized form of the equations of electromagnetism; formation of multiple and submultiple units by means of decimal prefixes.

The text is about the role of system of SI. It is told that SI is universal and applicable in all areas of physics and technology. However, the system of SI is absolute. The system of SI is accepted on the international scale and is introduced in all countries in a legal order.
Moreover, the international system is universal. It covers all areas of the physical phenomena, all branches of technology and national economy. It should be noted that the international system of units includes wide-spread private systems as metric system of measures and system of practical electric and magnetic units in technology.
After that, we get known that units of the International system are rather convenient in most cases by their size.
In conclusion the author point out that the international system of units is recognized by many influential international organizations, including the United Nations taking into consideration questions on education, science and culture (UNESCO).
