I fully agree with this statement. It should be mentioned that these universities are especially unique and historic institutions. As the oldest universities, they can lay claim to nine centuries of continuous existence.

Certainly, the world fame and high reputation of these universities are confirmed by centuries-old traditions and an unusual management system. It is remarkble, that the term Oxbridge was first used by the British writer William Thackeray in the 19th century and has since become widespread. It should be mentioned that this concept includes the two oldest and most prestigious universities in the UK — Oxford and Cambridge.

It should be noted that the history of higher education in England goes back many centuries. It is reamrkably that these two universities that laid the foundation for quality education in Britain.
