The problem of the quality education in our country is especially urgent today. The time has long passed when only state educational institutions were famous for the most qualified lectors and high educational standards. In this regard, many students face the following question: fee-based or free education?

The advantages of free education include such a thing that education is free and there is a large library fund. This allows students to have good opportunities to choose necessary literature.

There was a myth for a long time that study in non-state universities leaves much to be desired because of unqualified lectors. But after a few years the situation has changed radically — and the fee-based education market has become quite stable.

The disadvantages of fee-based education include the high cost of education. Before you choose fee-based education, you need to assess your financial capabilities and be prepared for the fact that the amount in invoices for payment will increase every year. In almost all non-state universities, before starting your studies, you will need to pay a certain amount. Thus, you will lose money if you do not like the quality of education and want to leave a university.

Moreover, graduates may have to spend many years paying off their student loans.

However, there is a stereotype that if you pay for your study, you don’t have good knowledge.

It should be noted that the rights of fee-based employees and state employees are the same. Also, if you study at a fee-based department and want the university to find you a first job, then you can also count on distribution. But you should know that it will be very difficult to avoid distribution afterwards.

I believe that there is no difference between paid and free education. Czech students shouldn’t contribute more to the cost of their university education. Free university education is a basic principle. Every person has a right to choose his own education.
