The question is who is better for the profession of a teacher – a man or a woman? It should be noted that there are gender differences in the perception and assessment of the surrounding reality between a man and a woman, regardless of their field of activity. Women are more emotional, more free to express feelings and emotions. However, men are characterized by restraint, efficiency, focus on work performance, initiative in verbal communication. Women are verbally richer and more active; they use more often non-verbal means of communication.

It must be admitted that psychologically and historically women are more adapted to perform pedagogical activities, especially in primary school, in teaching their native language, literature and other humanitarian disciplines. And men have advantages where logic, accuracy of formulations, formulas, decisions are needed, for example, in teaching mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science, etc.

However, the most decisive factor in this matter is still the level of professional qualifications of a teacher. Both of these benefits of multi-gender teachers are designed to complement each other, giving students deeper knowledge. It is impossible to disregard how important examples of stereotypes of behavior of both male and female teachers are for the upbringing of students, because it is during the years of study that they realize themselves as representatives of one gender or another. All this presupposes the need for a balanced composition of the teaching staff.

There are many positive reasons why men are better for the profession of a teacher. In general, a man is by nature stronger than a woman, and therefore pupils will be afraid of him, and they will not indulge in lessons. Afterwards, if you take my school as an example, the male teachers are more interesting than the female teachers.

As for the female teacher, calmness is important here. This will be mainly expressed in primary school. I think it will be easier for first graders to adapt at school when a class teacher is a kind woman who can help.

To sum up, in the primary classes women-teachers are needed, so it will be easier and calmer for pupils to adapt at school. As far as I am concerned, male teachers are more interesting in delivering lesson material than women, therefore, male teachers should also be, and preferably in classes where discipline is lame.
