I am going to tell you about Biserti, a small village on the Bisert River, which is over 280 years old. The surroundings around Bisert are picturesque, the Ural Mountains are here. Bisert is located in the Middle Urals. There are 109 kilometres from Yekaterinburg. There are not mountains, but gentle long hills overgrown with forest.

There is a lot of game in the Bisert forests. Moose, bears, lynxes, wolves are not uncommon here, there are a lot of mushrooms and berries. There is still a dam on the Bisert River. It was built more than 260 years ago, although it was reconstructed several times. There is a huge and long Bisert pond for fishermen here. In Biserti fishing is popular all year round; on any sunny winter day, the ice on the pond is painted with multicolored peas of fishing tents.

Sometimes I think that Bisert men run away from their wives on the ice in good weather to talk about their problems, about male problems, but no one leaves the pond even without fish. There was a Siberian tract — from Moscow to Siberia in Biserti. Even now, but very little, you can see along this old road old snaggy birches, once planted along the Siberian tract by the order of Catherine. Previously, the tract was directly along Biserti, so one of the streets is called Traktovaya.

You can ski all winter in the forests next to Bisert, because as soon as the snow falls, there are always excellent ski trails, which, by the way, are never empty. Young and old people from Bisert like riding fast through a beautiful pine forest. It is no coincidental that skiing is popular in Biserti. Bisert Children’s and Youth Sports School has existed in the village since the 70s, and probably 50% of the children in the village went through its sections, and those who learned skiing loved skiing for life.

There is also a small but interesting museum in Biserti. Brief historical information: Biserti is considered to be found in 1735, when, by order of Tatishchev, peasants from Kungyr built three wooden fortresses on the Bisert River to repel the Bashkir raids. Here a settlement was formed, the inhabitants of which were engaged in agriculture, washed gold in the surrounding streams. Later, iron ore was discovered around Biserti.

Therefore, Grigory Demidov built a large dam on the Bisert river, and the small Bisert river with a not very clear name turned into a large full-flowing pond, which became the decoration of the village.
