suppose that it is better to attend university in or near their hometown. But other students think that it is better to attend a university somewhere abroad.

On the one hand, education abroad is an indispensable experience, a prestigious diploma and a chance to have an international career. On the other hand there are serious financial costs, relocation.

Education abroad gives people many new possibilities. There are advanced scientific developments and technological startups, work in the best companies and the ability to travel around the world.

The best schools and universities in the world are in the USA, Europe and some Asian countries. Diplomas of most Russian universities have little to say to a foreign employer — unlike the Sorbonne, Cambridge diplomas.

Education abroad is the first step towards building an international career. Foreign universities cooperate with leading world companies: from Washington State University you can go on an internship at Boeing, Microsoft and Amazon.com, and from Goldsmiths University of London — at Yahoo!

Business education, game design and multimedia, alternative energy and neurobiology are still poorly developed or not developed at all in Russia.

The main goal of education abroad is benefit, not erudition, status or diploma. Everyone pays attention not only to assessments, but also to how you are going to apply your knowledge.

Education abroad is necessary not only for building a successful career. It teaches us not to be afraid of failures, to correctly prioritize and look at the world wider.

However, there are some disadvantages of education abroad. First of all, education is expensive. Even if you already have a rough list of requirements and expectations, it is very difficult to choose a school or university. Sometimes language barriers interfere. Translation of a diploma and certificate, motivation letters, recommendations, portfolio and visa — for studying abroad you will have to go through many bureaucratic obstacles.

As for me, I would like to study abroad, because I think that education abroad is more prestigious.
