The fact is that governments define the parameters of citizens’ daily behavior, protect them from outside interference, and often ensure their well-being and happiness.

However, the intelligence apparatus collects, analyzes and stores information on millions of citizens, most of whom have not been accused of any wrongdoing. Every state and county law enforcement agency must provide information to the federal government to support government work.

Moreover, government security agencies can also access your devices through built-in backdoors. This means that these security services can tune in to your phone calls, read your messages, capture your photos, stream videos of you, read your email, steal your files. This can be done at any time, as they want.

Sometimes governments can legitimately control mobile phone communications — a procedure known as lawful interception. Some governments pay telephone companies directly to record and collect cellular services from certain individuals.

Thinking about where it would be better to live: in a city or in the countryside, I remember the well-known Russian proverb. It is always better there where we are not. Indeed, living in a noisy dusty city, sometimes people want to leave it and to have a quiet place. I think both city life and the life in a village have their pros and cons.

Life in a small village is always very calm. There is no rush. People here are usually kinder and more friendly. They are in unity with nature and therefore most often feel very happy. For them, their native village is the best place in the world, and men from a village go to the city to earn money.

A city man always feels like a stranger in a village. He certainly likes fresh air, clean water in a river and farming. But having sated enough of all this, he wants to go back, wishing to again find himself in the epicenter of events.

There are more opportunities in a city than in the countryside. Life there is more interesting and varied, but the ecology is worse, and, unfortunately, the relationship between people is not friendly. Therefore, I think everyone should choose where to live, taking into account all the pros and cons of urban and rural life. And if it is difficult to decide on your preferences, as, for example, for me and my parents, then you can just have an apartment in the city and a dacha in the countryside.

As you can see, both lifestyles have pros and cons. I like life in the city better. Here I can do what I like. But in the summer I go to my grandparents in the village to live there for a few weeks. I think that a person who has never changed their place of residence will never understand my point of view.
