Throughout history a book has been the main source of information. It was thanks to books that the opportunity arose to preserve and generalize the experience of previous generations, to learn, to disseminate advanced ideas. Education, once the inheritance of a select few, has become widespread with the advent and development of printing. However, The level of development and culture of a person showed the books he read. Reading increased literacy, contributed to the development of intelligence, broadened the horizons.

Currently, the hobby for books can only be remembered. The rapid growth of digital technologies has led to the fact that modern children and adolescents less read, preferring to spend time playing computer games or talking on all kinds of sites.

E-books will never smell so good as damp library volumes or books from your childhood, in which lilac flowers, forgotten many years ago, were still lying.

These e-books can be read in the same way as regular ones – one can turn pages, add bookmarks, view the cover and go to the table of contents. But e-books, unlike paper ones, allow you to change the font size — make it larger or smaller. In the e-book, you can see the definition of a word right on the page.

Printed books have their own limitations. Books are heavy. They are difficult to carry on vacation or pack in boxes when moving. Books are cumbersome, and it can be difficult to find the information you need in them. They can quickly become obsolete. They grow old and moldy, rot and crumble.

Moreover, e-books can never be compared to printed books in sharpness and texture. The displays of electronic readers are still too primitive to faithfully convey texture. Electronic paper does not create a warm texture. The text of the electronic book cannot be compared with the font of the printed book. Even without a magnifying glass, there are too many pixels in it.

I think that digital books will replace print books, however, firstly, they will not completely replace: a paper book will remain, at least, as a work of art — beautiful gift editions, etc. And secondly, the replacement will occur gradually, along with generational change. As long as those who prefer paper books are alive, they will be published.
