Each person has a city that he loves with all his heart. For some people, this may be their hometown, while for others, it may be some other city. My hometown is Moscow. I can say with confidence that you will never find a better city on the entire planet Earth.

I was born in Omsk, but when I was a small child, my parents brought me to Moscow and gradually I fell in love with this city. Almost two years ago I came to Moscow to study at the university. Finally, my dream came true and I could enjoy all the views of this magnificent city.

According to historical information, Moscow was founded back in 1147. And we should thank Yuri Dolgoruky for it. The city’s name comes from the name of the river that flows through it. Over the centuries-old history, the city was conquered more than once, burned to the ground, but it rose from the ashes and was rebuilt anew. And today its beauty literally enchants the eye, striking the inhabitants of the country and numerous tourists. Therefore, I am really proud of it!

Walking the streets of my native Moscow, I like its uniqueness and diversity. I know for sure that nowhere else will I see such sights as here. What are only the noble estates of Tsaritsyno, Donskoy and Novodevichy monasteries and, of course, the Bolshoi Theater, known all over the world. The inimitable Kremlin and Red Square deserve special attention. On the latter, there are almost always people who take memorable pictures, communicate. And how not to be photographed against the background of such beauty, when she literally asks for a shot herself?

One cannot but say that Moscow is rich in art galleries, museums, and unusual temples. Glittering with domes in the bright sun, churches spread melodic bell ringing around the area, causing delight in the soul. But when I want to relax and enjoy nature, I go to the parks. Fortunately, there are a lot of them in the capital: Gorky Park, Krasnaya Presnya, Izmailovsky, Lianozovsky, etc. It is so nice to sit next to a fountain or a pond under the shade of green crowns and watch graceful white swans. After such a pastime, you go home rested, calmed down.

Shopping centers, markets, small shops are a separate component of my beloved Moscow. Thanks to this choice, you can buy anything from a safety pin to a chic Armani outfit. And you don’t have to be a millionaire to get dressed from head to toe and get some decent accessories. For children, there is complete freedom in the city. Stores with such a familiar name «Children’s World» are literally bursting with toys: go to any one and you will find a product that meets a variety of requirements.

Another integral part of the city, which everyone, young and old, comes to see is the magnificent Moscow River. You can walk along it on a river tram, look at the slowly sailing motor ships. And when the sun sets over the horizon and the evening lights are lit, this body of water turns into a magical shimmering kingdom.

Moscow is a wonderful city that will forever remain in the heart of any person who is lucky enough to be born in it, live or just visit. And I really want him to live forever, decorating our huge world.

In my opinion, in Moscow you have the opportunity to live a bright and full life. Not only can you see a lot of mesmerizing places, but you also have a lot of opportunities to build a good career. Most promising companies, including international ones, have offices in this city and in order to get your dream job, you only need to be active, ambitious and outgoing.

For those who love art, music and the film industry, Moscow also has a lot to offer. Every year the city hosts a certain number of famous exhibitions from different countries. You can also see performances of famous artists and musicians who come to Moscow as part of their world tours. You will have the opportunity to see world famous actors who arrive in Russia to present their new films and projects.

Moscow is a very beautiful city. Here you can find both ancient and modern architectural structures. In the center of the city, there are mostly quite old, but beautiful buildings. You will also see the heart of Moscow and Russia — the Kremlin and Red Square. This is an exceptional place in the city. I don’t think there is anyone who doesn’t like it. While on Red Square, you can admire its unforgettable architectural style and feel your integrity with Russia.

There are also many places for family walks in this city, including parks, alleys and nature reserves, and among them I have my favorites. This is the Central Park. Gorky Park, Victory Park, Arbat Street and quiet boulevards of the Boulevard Ring. There you can spend your free time with friends, family members or meet many new and interesting people.

Living in Moscow, I feel that I can achieve everything I want if only I put in some effort. In my opinion, Moscow is one of the best cities to live in, as it has both beautiful places and an ocean of opportunities for those who need them. Not everyone will like Moscow with its constant traffic jams, huge crowds of people and its hectic and noisy rhythm of life, but for me this city is ideal. I feel that I have found my place in life. I am very happy to live in such a city. I hope that everyone will be able to find their own city in which they are comfortable and cozy.

OMSK

Omsk is a million-plus city which is located in Western Siberia at the intersection of the Irtysh and its tributary, the Omi. Omsk ranks second in terms of population in Siberia.

Omsk has a wonderful nature. The city is located at the intersection of two natural zones: steppe and forest-steppe. There are no tall, mighty and deep forests, but you can find fragrant and aromatic herbs.

Once the city, founded in 1716, in the XX century it was decided to remake according to the concept of a garden city. Then the government started mass landscaping of Omsk and its environs. The choice fell on trees such as birch and aspen. These two species are prevalent in the city.

In the city center, at the intersection of Vodokanal and the park named after the 30^th anniversary of the Komsomol is the oldest plant in the city — a white willow, planted more than one hundred and thirty years ago. This tree became a real attraction. Tourists often come to him.

Another interesting natural attraction is the Bird’s Harbor National Park. Birds stop here during seasonal migrations. In the park we can see flamingos, black stork, eagle owl, duck, black grouse, hazel grouse, white-tailed eagles, peregrine falcons, mute swans. According to the apt remarks of the local authorities, the «Bird Harbor» National Park should become a symbol of Omsk.

In the 19^th century, the city became the local administrative center. The writer Dostoevsky was imprisoned in the Omsk prison. By the way, he didn’t like the city at all. At the beginning of the 20th century, a water supply and a railway administration were built. In the history of the Civil War, this city was noted as the capital of the «white» Russian government headed by Kolchak. In the first years of Soviet power, Omsk experienced various difficulties. Then it was merged with the neighboring Leninsk-Omsk and Novo-Omsk. In 1947 the city received the status of an independent administrative center. In 1948, Omsk was greened, and many different enterprises and infrastructure facilities were built here, for example, the Omskagropromkhimiya enterprise, a swimming pool, a hotel, and a newspaper publishing house. Large-scale greening gave the city the unofficial name «garden city». During the Great Patriotic War, some evacuated industrial facilities were located here. In Omsk, there are not only buses, but also trolley buses.

Another very interesting part of my favorite city is the industry. In my small homeland, they are engaged in the production and processing of petroleum products and other substances of chemical synthesis. Omsk factories are engaged in the production of missiles and aircraft, therefore, until the 1990s, the city was closed to foreigners and certain categories of citizens. Omsk also produces cars, tires and other important goods. Due to such an abundance of enterprises in the city, an unfavorable environmental situation reigned for a long time. Irtysh and Om are very polluted. This negatively affects human health and nature.

However, in the last decade in our city great importance is attached to environmental issues. Many programs, projects, institutions have been created.

Omsk is not at all like other cities with a population of over one million. There are no tall skyscrapers here, and there are not so many apartment buildings in our city. Omsk people prefer to live in spacious private houses where people are their own masters.

I can say with confidence that Omsk is my favorite city, because I really like its nature, I am proud of the achievements of the industry of my small homeland.
