Some people think that part-time jobs give young people good work experience and responsibility. My project, which I am still working on, is aimed at finding out what part-time jobs are popular among young people in Zetland. I have found some data on this issue and organised it in the table below.

I can identify two main features of the statistics presented in the table. The first one is that only 14% and 7% of young people respectively prefer working as dog walker and camp counsellor, putting these kinds of work at the bottom of the table. And the second key feature is that 83% of young people wark a delivery riders.

It also worthe mentioning that the number of young people who work as fas food servers are lower than te number of young people working as delivery riders.

In my opinion, the statistics in the table reveal an important problem. We can see that young people are not interested in social activity and don’t like working as camp counsellors. I think that in order to solve this problem some interesting subjects on this topic should be included in the school curriculum.

In conclusion, I believe that teachers and parents should encourage teenagers to work part-time because this is how children develop their best qualities, learn independence and a sense of responsibility. They can work as waiters, shop-assistants or car-washers. In conclusion, I would like to quote the saying: “Today’s teenagers are tomorrow’s adults”.
