Dear John,
Let me first introduce myself. My name is Alexander or Alex for my friends. My surname or last name is Sokolov. My birthday is on the 2nd of October. My birthplace is Krasnoyarsk, a beautiful city in Russia in Siberia.
Now a few words about myself. I am still a schoolboy. But this is my last year at school, so I’ m about to make a serious decision concerning my future profession. It is a difficult thing, isn’t it? I’ m fond of sports and music and at the same time new technologies are also interesting for me.
My father is a mathematician by education and a businessman by profession. He’s aware of my passion for technologies and his advice for me is to become an engineer.
My mother’s name is Tatyana Petrovna. She is a housewife. She is busy with work about the house now. But she’s a well-educated person too. Her profession is an engineer. So, all members of my family are crazy about Sciences and Technologies. Even more, my mother is for working experience. Her advice for me is to become a worker and at the same time a part-time student at the technical university as working experience is very important for future successful career.
But part–time education is not popular nowadays because it’s not convenient and easy for students. If you’re busy at work all day long, you’re tired in the evening and you’re unable to study well. Distant education is a good alternative to full–time education for those, whose decision is to earn the money and study. Besides I’m aware that machine–building plant administration are not against their workers being students. Moreover the administration of a plant is interested in qualified employees.
Please share your views and experience. It’s not an easy thing to make a choice, is it?

Dear Alex,
How are the things going on? Did something new happen in your life? Having received your letter, I wanted to answer it immediately. But I was studying a lot during the last two weeks. So I was pressed for time and did not manage to carry out my intentions.

I want to be a student of the Pedagogical University. My mother is a teacher. Her advice for me to become a teacher is very important for me. I want to be a full-time student. Part–time education is not popular nowadays because it’s not convenient and not easy for students. All day you are busy and in the evening you are tired to study. That’s ‘why I want to be a full-time student.  I am going to be a hard-working student. I am aware that successful career begins at the university. I am fond of teaching. I like English and Russian literature. I hope that in5 years I shall be a good specialist.
