I would like to tell you about the Russian company “Gazprom”. The full name of the company is Public Joint Stock Company Gazprom. Gazprom is a global energy company focused on geological exploration, production, transportation, storage, processing and sales of gas, gas condensate and oil.

The highest management body of the company is the General Meeting of Shareholders, which is held annually. The Board of Directors exercises general management of the Company’s activities. The Chairman of the Board and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gazprom is Alexey Miller.

Shareholders owning ordinary shares have the right to vote at the General Meeting of Shareholders. Any shareholder has the right to take part in the General Meeting of Shareholders.

Gazprom has the largest natural gas reserves in the world. The company’s share in the global and Russian gas reserves amounts to 17 and 72 per cent respectively. Gazprom accounts for 11 and 66 per cent of the global and national gas output correspondingly.

Gazprom is a reliable supplier of gas to Russian and foreign consumers. The Company owns the world’s largest gas transmission system. Gazprom sells more than half of its gas to Russian consumers and exports gas to more than 30 countries. Gazprom is Russia’s largest producer and exporter of liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Gazprom is among Russia’s top four oil producers. The Company also owns major power-generating assets accounting for some 17 per cent of the total installed capacity of the national energy system. Gazprom ranks number one in the world in terms of thermal energy generation.
