Every person needs a vacation. Most of all I like to spend my holidays on trips with my friends or parents. I like travelling by car or by train. It is convenient and not very expensive.

One of my last trips, which I remember most, was a hiking trip with tents along the Crimean mountains. My parents and four our best friends took part in it. It was an unforgettable adventure! We were walking many kilometers a day, we had everything necessary with: a tent, a sleeping bag, a mug, a bowl, some of clothes and food.

While being on a rest stop, we made a fire, and my parents were cooking something delicious, for example potatoes with stew or macaroni with meat and tomatoes. In such conditions, by the way, the food is much tastier.

I liked to sit with my parents and friends around the fire in the evening and listen to interesting stories, and horror stories. It was also very interesting to sleep in a tent, although there are many mosquitoes around. I have never seen such the starry sky. Living in the city, I didn’t notice such things.

I admired a forest and took pictures of interesting moments. The forest was so calm and beautiful!

My father knows many interesting facts about nature and he can tell a lot of things. I can already distinguish many types of snakes and insects that are dangerous for people, I know which plants can be eaten, and which are better to stay away from. I know how to find water in the wild and make a fire. I am sure this knowledge will be useful to me in my future life.

One of the days we hired horses and made the ride on horseback. I got a lot of new impressions. Horses are wonderful, smart and very beautiful animals. At first I was a little scared, but then I settled in and began to enjoy the trip. I came across a calm white horse named Swallow. She obeyed me and walked carefully.

This journey I will remember for a very long time. We spent there ten days, I learned a lot, became stronger and more enduring.
