The ideal image of a teacher in a modern pupil is formed as soon as the child goes to school. I think that teaching is a calling, not a job. Therefore, the teacher should work not for earning money, not for survival or subsistence, but for the fulfillment of his mission on the earth.

A teacher is a person who gives impetus to development. This is what awakens a sleeping person to wakefulness, who makes him be attentive, active, alive.

Each pupil now has his own ideal of a teacher, I have my own. I think that the ideal teacher understands, helps the pupil to become independent, responsible, resistant to life’s trials. It is this, and not the sum of knowledge, that is the quality of a true teacher. The ability to convey to the student the amount of knowledge that he needs.

He should be both kind to be loved and strict to be obeyed. The teacher should be confident. He should to tell the material of the lesson interestingly. The school is the second home for pupils, and the teacher should be an older friend, help the pupil in difficult situations. The ideal teacher should understand children and give them advice.

I think my teacher’s goal was to make the child want to learn. However, the ideal teacher will do something else. He will make the students fall in love with his class. It will show the value of each child. He will show his interest and necessity, which means he will develop the individual qualities of the pupil.

The ideal teacher is interested in the process. He does not think in intermediate terms. He is interested in the child’s changes, and the teacher is surprised and happy about these changes. The child trusts that he is really interesting to the teacher.
