Every person, every nation has its own language. The language he must know, the language his ancestors speak, the language his descendants will speak. Every person should keep and respect it. My native Russian language. This great language has a great history and power, it is diverse and interesting. Russian is spoken by the majority of people who live in Russia.

The Russian language is not more common than the rest, it is not spoken by the whole world. But this does not diminish its significance for us, but only makes it one of a kind, making us feel special and exceptional. The language includes both the way of thinking and the culture of the people. By maintaining knowledge of the language, we keep in touch with our roots. The Russian language is rich, diverse, beautiful and complex. If there were no language, you and I would not have a name. I am proud that I speak this beautiful, amazing language and learn it with joy. Learning a language will help me not just speak and write in it, but choose the most accurate, most necessary words to express my thoughts.

However, our country can boast of the diversity of the peoples living on its territory and the number of languages they speak. The 193 peoples living in Russia use approximately 277 languages (according to other sources — 295) and dialects.

The Russian state languages in the republics of the Russian Federation are:

Abaza language (Karachay-Cherkessia).

Adyghe language (Adygea).

Altaic language (Republic of Altai).

Bashkir language (Bashkortostan).

Buryat language (Buryatia).

Ingush language (Ingushetia).

There are twenty extinct languages on the map of Russia (for example, Ainu, Yug, Ubykh), twenty-two are considered to be in critical condition (including Aleut, Terek-Sami, Itelmen), twenty-nine are in serious danger (Nivkh, Chukchi, Karelian and etc.).

It should be noted that 57% of Russians speak at least a minimum level of English (38% of the population who speaks foreign languages), German (19%), French (3%), Spanish (1%).
