1. Unreal conditionals.

Complete the sentences making a choice between hypothetical conditionals and unreal conditionals.

2. Imagine you open the door of your room and found you were in Siberia. Describe what it would be like.

What would the buildings/landscape be like? The landscape would be like a beautiful wood.

What would the weather be like? The weather would be like sunny, wet and warm.

3. Anthony Clifford is interested in applying for the post of flight attendant. Read his letter and decide whether you think he would be considered a suitable candidate. Why/Why not? How would you improve his letter?

I think he would be considered a suitable candidate, because he can do his duties and responsibilities for this job. I think he is   hardworking, flexible. He can be the best asset in his company because he is flexible, he can handle with stress and I easily learn to love his work.

But I would add more information about his previous job.

4. Translate the following sentences into English.

5. Prepositions. Fill in the gaps with prepositions of time. The first was done for you.

I’ve got the details of your flight. You leave London on Tuesday, 18th September at 8:15 in the evening, and the plane arrives in Damascus at 3:00 on Wednesday morning. You’ll probably get to the hotel at about 5:00, and you will need to rest within a few hours. Your first meeting is at 4:30 on Wednesday afternoon. The room in the hotel is booked for three nights on 18th September, and a return flight is on 21st September at 8:15. I’m sure you’ll like the hotel. 10. Make dialogues for the following situations.
11. Irina Ivanova works as a secretary for Smith &Co. She receives a telephone call from a person who would like to speak to the manager about his job. Unfortunately, the manager isn’t at the office at that moment, so the secretary asks the caller if she could take a message. He agrees and says that his name is Victor Sadovnikov, his telephone number is 903 785 32 43. The secretary writes down the information and promises to tell the manager about the call as soon as he is back.
