In the contex of a new type of coronavirus (COVID-19) there are different technologies for supporting the new educational process. Some models of distance learning are used in Russian schools, too. Teachers mainly teach lessons with the help of applications such as Skype and Zoom.

Students who do not have Internet, computers and notebooks are sent messages by mobile phone. It was not easy for students for the first time, but then they liked to the new teaching method.

I should say, that there are many advantages in this type of education. First of all, most students and teachers are provided with all the necessary technical devices for distance learning. There are no unnecessary activities. Then, teachers have an opportunity to choose from a huge number of Internet resources the most convenient. Training is individual, and tutoring is not necessary. Students have more free time to relax. There are many possibilities to choose good and colorful material, video and audio content. It contributes not only to retaining attention, but also to the development of clip thinking. Parents can also take part in the educational process. Moreover, shy students have become more active in online lessons.

But there are some disadvantages, too. The methods used in some subjects, for example in physics and mathematics, turned out to be ineffective. Due to the lack of experience in distance learning, a lot of time has to be spent on the technical organization of the lesson. Today, the volume of material is less and the quality of the online lesson is lower than that of a regular classroom lesson.

Most teachers lack real practice and the ability to build online learning, many of them do not distinguish between distance and e-learning.

I think that we will return to the old ways of teaching and learning, because this system is more convenient and useful for teachers and students.
